North District Overview

The North District has an average total attendance of 5,393 students, the highest enrollment in the EVSC.

New construction and renovations are being implemented throughout the district. In the North District, the following changes are planned:

• New North High School and Middle School Campus – construction of an all-new campus with adjoining middle school and high school facilities in 2011

• Former North High School will be converted to a middle school and early childhood center

• Oak Hill Middle School and Evans Middle School – conversion to kindergarten-through-fifth-grade (K-5) schools

• Howard Roosa Elementary School – closing in June 2011; students will attend Vogel Elementary School

• All schools – technology improvements, including wireless Internet and Internet Protocol phones
