EVSC - Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation
School Initiative: Core Experiences
Core experiences are opportunities that all EVSC students will take part in at certain grade levels during their educational journey. They may include activities such as:
- Opportunities to go to the Indiana State House and understand and see state government work
- Trips to museums, theaters, and the symphony to experience culture and the arts
- Etiquette workshops that train students in skills such as how to interact during a job interview
Until now, these opportunities have not always been consistently available to all students, because of the cost and the student’s ability to pay. As core experiences are defined, the EVSC, along with the EVSC Foundation, is reaching out to business and community partners to help sponsor these activities.
