To achieve student success, it is essential that the synergy created by bringing families, schools, and communities together is understood.
Partnerships that blend the intellectual and financial capital of a community are key to developing schools and children that succeed. The EVSC cannot do this work alone.
We must have equity within our corporation, allowing all students to have similar experiences that help them grow. Many members of the community, as well as private-sector business owners, care deeply about the success of EVSC students, in particular, disadvantaged and marginalized children and families, and have stepped up to help the EVSC achieve its mission of equity and excellence for all children. The EVSC is working to build partnerships and increase more opportunities for community involvement.
The EVSC Center for Family, School, and Community Partnerships (FSCP), located at 123 Main Street, houses multiple services that provide wrap-around services so that students can concentrate on academics and not worry about other competing interests. The School Community Council is housed within the FSCP and represents a group of more than 70 community organizations and businesses that help students and their families achieve a healthy and complete educational experience.
